Microwave Systems
Vulcanization by microwave radiation – fast heating of insulating materials.

Microwave and UHF vulcanization
Fast heating of insulating materials
Microwave technology is the key technology for heating insulating materials such as rubber and silicone quickly. Introducing energy directly into the material overcomes their otherwise poor thermal conductivity.
Whether as the only energy source or combined with other forms of energy – we offer a wide range of machines with microwave technology.
Typical applications
- Automotive sealsUHF heats the profile from the inside – efficient for thick cross-sections.
- Windows & façadesFast through-heating of EPDM profiles from the inside.
- Construction & infrastructureUHF brings heat directly into the core of the profile.
- Commercial & agricultural vehiclesEfficient through-heating of large cross-sections.
- HosesUHF heats the hose wall evenly from the inside.
UHF vulcanization line
Our UHF system combines hot air and microwaves: hot air heats the product from the outside while microwave radiation penetrates directly into its core. For insulating materials such as rubber, this combination is the most efficient way to heat up for vulcanization.
A microwave distribution method with constant distribution across the conveyor belt sets the system apart. The UHF zones include a gas burner and three 2 kW microwave generators each.
Trials in our pilot plant
Not sure whether your product is suitable for microwave processing, or want to know what microwave technology can do for your process? Our pilot plant, trial lines and expertise will answer these questions. A trial is always worthwhile – see for yourself.
