Wiper rubbers
Wiper rubbers are extruded as an endless strand and vulcanized continuously. The wiping lip is what counts – it determines the wiping pattern.
Typical materials
- NR
- CR
- EPDM
The product
The profile consists of a head, a neck and a fine wiping lip. It is produced continuously and then cut to length. The faster the lip cures after the die, the more accurately it keeps its geometry.
Typical products
- Wiper rubbers for cars
- Wiper blades for trucks and buses
- Wiper profiles for rail vehicles
- Profiles that are split after vulcanization
What matters
- 01
Precise lip
The edge of the wiping lip must stay identical along the entire length.
- 02
Smooth surface
No belt marks on the functional surfaces.
- 03
Uniform cure
Even elasticity across the cross-section – for a streak-free wipe.
The line
These TSM systems are typically used – in production order:
- 01
ExtrudersExtrusion of the wiper profile, also as multiple strands. - 02
Infrared SystemsFixes the lip geometry immediately after the die and reduces belt marks. - 03
Hot Air SystemsFull cure with uniform heat transfer. - 04
Cooling LinesCooling before cutting to length.
