Applications

From your product to the right line

It all starts with your profile: cross-section, compound, output. From there we derive energy source, length and downstream units – as a single machine or a complete line.

Complete lines

One line, one partner

TSM supplies every station of a continuous vulcanization line – matched to each other and to your product.

  1. 01ExtrudersShaping the profile, also as co-extrusion
  2. 02Infrared Systems360° shock vulcanization of the surface
  3. 03Microwave SystemsHeating from the inside via UHF
  4. 04Hot Air SystemsShock channel and full cure
  5. 05Cooling LinesCooling with water and air
  6. 06Flocking SystemsFinishing and flock drying
  7. 07Exhaust Air CleaningCatalytic exhaust air cleaning

Which stations your line needs depends on compound, profile geometry and output. Splicing presses and special machines complement the line where required.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does TSM supply single machines or complete lines?

Both. Our extruders and our vulcanization, cooling, flocking and exhaust air systems are available as single units, in combination or as a complete production line, up to turnkey projects.

Which heating methods do your vulcanization systems use?

Hot air (gas-heated with recirculating burners or electric), near-infrared for shock vulcanization, and microwave/UHF – individually or combined, depending on the product.

How long are your hot air systems?

The systems consist of 3 m segments; we supply lengths from 3,000 to 21,000 mm. The shock version reaches up to 500 °C.

Can I test in advance whether my product suits microwave curing?

Yes. In our pilot plant and on our trial lines, we test together with you whether and how your product benefits from microwave technology.

How do you clean the exhaust air from vulcanization?

With the CT 1000 catalytic afterburner for 1,000 to 3,000 m³/h: the raw gas is heated to approx. 450 °C and oxidized in the catalyst bed – at low operating costs.

Do you deliver outside Germany?

Yes. TSM delivers projects all over the world, especially for the automotive supply industry, and works with a network of international partners.
