Hot Air Systems
Hot air vulcanization systems with turbulent hot air flow for high heat transfer.

Efficient hot air technology
Fast energy input – with low consumption
TSM hot air systems stand out for their turbulent hot air flow and low energy consumption. The shock version reaches up to 500 °C, and lengths from 3,000 to 21,000 mm provide a broad product range.
The systems consist of 3 m segments, so they can be configured flexibly for each application. They are heated either by energy-saving recirculating gas burner systems or by electric heating registers.
Typical applications
- Automotive sealsShock channel and full cure in turbulent hot air.
- Wiper rubbersFull cure with uniform heat transfer.
- Windows & façadesLong hot air sections up to 21 m for high line speeds.
- Construction & infrastructureLong hot air sections for the required dwell time.
- Commercial & agricultural vehiclesFull cure, gas or electrically heated.
- Endless sealing systemsContinuous vulcanization of the endless profile.
- HosesFull cure in turbulent hot air.
- Medical technologyFull cure, electrically heated.
- Food & agricultureFull cure, electric or gas-heated.
Hot air shock channel
The shock channel is used as one of the first downstream units after the extruder or the NIRV unit. Its special hot air feed allows it to be adjusted precisely to each profile: shock vulcanization stabilizes the geometry and starts the vulcanization reaction at the surface as fast as possible.
Depending on the settings, profile surfaces exceed 200 °C when leaving the unit.
Hot air vulcanization line
It heats the product all the way through. The turbulent air flow in the channel ensures ideal heat transfer; the length of the heating sections defines the achievable line speed.
Within a complete production line, it also serves as a drying unit for coated or flocked products.
